Acer notebook models are sold and supported in South Africa by Acer Africa Pty Ltd, the legal owner of the Acer trademark and logo. The owners of the domain name "AcerLaptops.co.za" neither make claim to the Acer brand name nor logo, nor make claim to being Acer Africa Pty Ltd, other than to be an authorised executive partner of the Acer brand in South Africa and exporter worldwide since 2002.

Acer incorporating the Intel Centrino Technology

The Intel Centrino technology is incorporated in most of the Acer laptops and they include superior battery saving mode, 802.11b/g wireless technology and the Intel Celeron M or Intel Pentium M processors.

Acer incorporating the AMD chipset

Acer has invested in the AMD branding for some of its laptops, and have incorporated the AMD processor in it's premium branded Ferrari laptop.

AMD mobile processors offers superior battery power saving, superior performance at the same clock speeds of Intel and the 802.11b/g wireless technology.

Windows XP Home / Professional

Microsoft Windows is standard across all Acer laptops. The Home version is for users who do not need to connect to large networks and domains, and who do not need the extra server related features that XP Professional has to offer.

Microsoft Office

Microsoft office, including Microsoft Word and Excel, do not come pre-installed as standard, and needs to be purchased separately.

Acer collect, repair and return warranty

Acer is the only company in South Africa to collect faulty products and to return them to the customer within the warranty period.

Acer Advantage extended warranty

For users who would like to protect their investment for a period of 3 years, the Acer Advantage is an optional purchase. The Acer Advantage has to be purchased at the time of the laptop purchase.

Acer offers a range of pre-built computer systems using quality components, backed up by an unmatched after-sales support structure.

All computer system ranging from the low-end Celeron models to high performance models are available. All Acer computers come with a collect and repair warranty - simply call the national support number to have you PC collected and returned during the warranty period.
